• Smoking is forbidden for all learners. If a learner is caught smoking or is in the possession of cigarettes, severe punitive measures will be taken. Smoking after school hours in school uniform is a violation of school rules.        E-cigarettes, Twisps, Hubbly Bubbly or any other device used to inhale substances is forbidden.
  • No learner may consume or be in possession of alcohol on the school premises. The use of alcohol in school uniform is a violation of school rules.
  • Staff Members and learners must be treated with respect at all times.  Visitors to the school must be greeted and assisted as far as possible.
  • Abusive, foul, insolent and inflammatory language may not be used.
  • Learners must look after their own property at all times since the school cannot be responsible for lost items. All personal property must be marked clearly.
  • No learner may leave the school property without obtaining the necessary permission. Learners who are signed off will be recorded on the register at the front office. An adult will be required to verify this signing off with his/her signature.
  • Motor cycles and bicycles must be parked in the allocated area. Motor vehicles may not be parked on the school grounds unless written permission is obtained from the Principal and an authorisation card is issued.
  • Substance abuse will not be tolerated. Any learner found in possession of or under the influence of drugs will be severely dealt with.
  • Schedule 5 and above medication – any learner who is taking Schedule 5 medication must carry a copy of the prescription and a letter from the doctor.
  • No learner must be tempted to take or tamper with anything that does not belong to them. Theft is a most serious offence and is a matter which may be referred to the S A Police Services.
  • Bullying, fighting, victimisation, intolerance, intimidation and any display of racism or sexism will be severely dealt with.
  • No learner may bring to school, have on their person or use dangerous weapons.
  • No learner may bring to school or have in their possession pornographic material of any sort.
  • Learners leaving the school on Fridays at 12:20 for prayers must sign the register at the gate and must return to school by 13:30 (controlled by security).
  • Gambling of any kind is not permissible.
  • The use of the school grounds and/or population for purposes of personal financial gain is strictly prohibited unless permission is granted by the Principal.  Unauthorised items will be confiscated.
  • Use of cell phone/tablets during school hours is strictly prohibited, unless an educator is using it for educational purposes. Any learner guilty of such use will be subjected to conditions of the cell phone/tablet policy.  Devices will be confiscated and returned at the end of the next term. A receipt must be obtained clearly indicating the make and serial number of the phone.  The phone will be stored in a safe secure area until returned.
  • Hitchhiking is not allowed under any circumstances.
  • The Matric Farewell is a privilege.  Continuous offences will lead to this being forfeited.
