1992 – 1997

 

Mr Butler joined the staff of Sir John Adamson in August 1987 as Deputy Principal.  During his time as Depity Principal he taught Geography, German and Afrikaans.  He was involved with coaching of Rugby and was the co-liaison teacher for the prefects. Mr Butler was also involved in numerous fundraising events.  He received his promotion as Principal of Sir John Adamson in November 1991.  As Principal, he successfully steered the school during its change of status in 1992 to a Model C school.  During his years at Sir John, Mr Butler was involved in all facets of school life. He encouraged a hands-on approach from the Executie staff and staff members.

In February 1997, Mr Butler decided to accept the voluntary severance package in order to pursue his hobby of woodworking as a career.
